Jim Martin has been the head coach of Providence School for 17 years and this his 22nd year coaching overall. In that time period, Coach Martin has won three FHSAA State Championships (2010, 2013, 2015) and has made five State Finals appearances. Since 2010, four of his teams have been nationally ranked in the top 25. He has a career record of 442 wins and 87 losses. Coach Martin has been honored with the FABC Coach of the Year and Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year award twice each. He has had the opportunity to see many of his players succeed at the college level, including current Duke star and 2014 McDonald’s All-American Grayson Allen. He coached 2010 McDonald’s All-American, Patric Young, and has produced over 30 college basketball players in total.

Coach Martin is a 1981 graduate of Jacksonville University and was a four-year starter in their basketball program. Today, Coach Martin is considered to be one of the top coaches in the state of Florida. He speaks at clinics all over the southeast and passionate about basketball.

He loves teaching kids the game of basketball and understands the right way to play this wonderful sport.
